How to cut a stencil (simple two layer stencil)
So the thing is that I had to cut the shadows or parts that would be less visible of light. I selected the same picture as last week because I had the copy of it with me and thought that it would be good picture because of the chess board. The very first thing that I did was draw on tracing paper and then I scanned it and printed it.
I started using stencil and cut the shadows of this picture. On my way of doing this I realized that I have to make shadows little bigger so the chess can be recognized in picture.
Then I also wanted to add those dark plates of chessboard. This will make this even more easier to recognize that it is chess.
At first I thought that I will include shadows but it was not necessary because the picture can be recognized without it and looks better in my opinion.
In the end it turned out pretty good even though I didn't think that it would be better if it would be one object rather than the whole chess. Like this banana:
I have never knew about this way of making a nice looking picture. It is very amazing to learn new ways to make arts!
I would wish that I had spray like in the banana video. In the end I just used pen and pencil to do something similar to this. It could be that I will do this again with other picture. Also next time I would pick one object instead of this many objects. When focusing in one thing then it turns out to be easier and will even look nicer.
