Week 11: Project 1B - Advert Sequence

After investigating the selected brand "Rolex". I have made three advertisements regarding to it. In first two advertisements that I have made is inspired by tech magazine. Because of high quality watches that Rolex makes, it also means that it keeps on track of the new technologies. The third image did not have any text because I wanted the ones who look at it, will understand it without even saying anything.

First Advertisement



What I have done here is cut the hand which has kind of device which is used to see if there is any problems. So I have come up with the text of "When you can't see mistake" because of its high quality. And the device targeting the watch is to say that even high technologies can't see any mistakes from the watch.


Adding a logo Rolex helps watchers to see which brand it is. And placing it there makes it even clearer than other text. This has an effect of watchers eyes to look at it.

Second Advertisement

In this image I wanted to get watchers to think about the images by using coins as synonym for money but instead of using text, I used image. Also in the last word which can mean happiness, rich or anything related to positive things.


At first I only came up with the text but then I found images that can replace words. I used them to get people to see both word and the meaning of image. For example, when you see "coins", you can relate it to richness or money. When you see a guy jumping in gold papers, you get the feeling of happiness, success and all other similar.

Third Advertisement

In this, I only wanted to use images instead of words. I have placed inside the treasure a Rolex watch and a hand wanting to have it on top of it. The meaning of this image is to symbolize how much people would want this watch.



All in all, the research of the brand and understanding the way Rolex advertise was fascinating. It was a lot of fun trying to make similar advertisements like Rolex. I have learned that with high quality reputation, the advertisement doesn't need much of words.
